The Impact of FIFO Work on Families
Upon returning home from a long swing, the FIFO worker may struggle to fully engage in family activities, needing time to rest and recuperate.
For many people, navigating disputes and resolving high levels of interpersonal conflict can generate anxiety, frustration, and fear and often seem impossible.
At Resolute Mediation and Dispute Solutions (RMDS), we work with individuals, couples, families, and groups to plan and work through issues that require resolution to reach agreeable outcomes without the need for legal support to avoid the law courts. Under most Australian legal systems, allowing parties in conflict to mediate an outcome is preferred and a requirement in some instances prior to legal action being taken. At RMDS, we firmly believe that working through issues with the support of a trained practising mediator to reach self-determination is a far better outcome than a judge deciding for you.
RMDS understand the importance of providing you with information regarding support you may need, including concerning the current legislation and legal system. We are skilled at helping you understand legal jargon, processes and requirements.
Our founder and principal, Angela (Ange) Beasley, provides clients with people-centred, efficient and cost-effective mediation services suited to varying disputes, conflicts, individual circumstances and needs. She adopts a multi-disciplinary approach to practice utilising her extensive training and experience in family law, the social sciences and dispute resolution.
Her primary professional focus is family dispute mediation, and her experience and expertise mean your case is more likely to settle by mutual agreement.
We offer a safe, structured and supportive environment that allows all parties to explore options for resolving their conflict in a timely manner.
We provide services to all of Australia using videoconferencing as our primary platform for mediation, relieving the need for physical attendance, unless preferred, and maximising flexibility and accessibility.
Our clients’ sensitivity and confidentiality are our primary concerns and are guaranteed. A ‘virtual meeting room’ can be accessed via the teleconference process from the comfort and security of a client’s own home or ‘safe place’ and in situations where the parties are unable or unwilling to see each other.
Our head office is in Brisbane, where a face-to-face service can be arranged in our meeting rooms and, where possible, we can extend this option to other locations by negotiation.

We recognise the importance of supporting neurodiverse children during family separation.
